The Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has gone viral over his sideline reaction during his team’s embarrassing loss at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings. Many pundits have come forward with their take on the subject– some calling it ‘irritating’ while some were concerned over it. Sports analyst Dan Orlovlsky also joined the queue but with a startling claim about the rookie.
Instead of diverting his anger towards young Williams, Orlovsky shifted the focus to the Bears’ unstable coaching staff, which highly affected the quarterback’s growth in the league. He highlighted that compared to his peers such as Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels, New England Patriots’ Drake Maye, and Denver Broncos’ Bo Nix; Williams hasn’t improved at all during his rookie campaign.
Former Offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and head coach Matt Eberflus have been a significant reason why the USC standout product hasn’t been able to live up to his expectations.

The Bears drafted Williams with the hope of making him a franchise quarterback. While there’s no doubt that the rookie quarterback has the potential to be that, the Bears need to prioritize the hiring of good coaching staff during the offseason to ensure the proper development of Williams.
Caleb Williams discusses his rocky rookie season with Bears
Williams’ rookie campaign hasn’t been even close to what he had hoped before entering the league this year. While the quarterback admitted that it has been frustrating for him to see his team struggling with a 4-10 record, he also found some moments to be encouraging and that’s what keeps him going despite all the challenges.
As the Bears recorded their eighth loss in a row, Williams finished the game with 18-of-31 for 191 yards and one touchdown. This totaled his stats of his season to 2,937 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions; along with 408 rushing yards and fumbled six times.
