Caleb Williams spent two glorious years with the USC Trojans, where he won the Heisman Trophy and the Maxwell Trophy while wearing the #13 jersey. To honor one of the school’s all-time great quarterbacks, USC decided to retire the number as a mark of respect.
Before USC faced their great rivals Notre Dame on Saturday, Williams and his family appeared before the crowd for the special moment. The felicitation process began with handing Williams a framed #13 jersey, which he held up above his head with pride.
It was time for some photos, and the Williams family flocked to the side of the 23-year-old, who now held his Heisman Trophy.
