(Video) Klay Thompson, while signing autographs, gives it back to delivery guy who was trying to abuse him unnecessarily
Klay Thompson snapped back after heckler hurled abuses towards him during a meet and greet with fans in Dallas.
Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson
Trash-talking Klay Thompson has seldom gone well for opponents on the court or fans off it. As Thompson engaged with some fans on the streets of Dallas, a bystanding heckler learnt the truth about ‘bantering’ with the four-time NBA champion the hard way. This was after receiving an equally sharp and quick-witted response from Thompson.
As Klay Thompson signed autographs for a number of lined-up fans, a delivery guy ran into the gathering with some harsh words for the Mavs star. “I’m the only one that doesn’t give a f**k, I don’t even know who tf you are,” the heckler shouted. Thompson aptly responded with an all-out diss towards the heckler for his unnecessary abuse.
The moment, captured by a fan on their phone, quickly went viral across social media platforms. Fans were quick to rally behind Thompson, applauding his ability to hold his ground and shut down the heckler without escalating the situation. As for the four-time champion himself, he continues to remain unfazed by any trash-talk or abuses hurled his way.

Thompson, in his first season with the Dallas Mavericks, has remained a critical piece in the team’s strong start to the season. His numbers of 14.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game—may not mirror the peak of his Golden State days. However, his leadership and sharpshooting have been invaluable to the Mavericks’ impressive 20-12 record.
Klay Thompson clarifies ‘GOAT’ shooter snub at Stephen Curry
Amid the buzz from his public spat with the delivery driver, Klay Thompson also found himself at the center of more controversy. This time, it was regarding the comments he made about the greatest shooter in NBA history.
Recently, after surpassing Reggie Miller on the NBA’s all-time three-point list, Thompson referred to Miller as “the greatest to ever shoot it” in an Instagram post. The statement raised eyebrows, especially since Thompson’s former Golden State Warriors teammate, Stephen Curry, is widely regarded as the best shooter in NBA history. Thompson took to social media soon after to clarify his remarks.

Currently sitting fourth in the Western Conference, the Mavericks are emerging as legitimate contenders after last year’s NBA Finals run. With Luka Doncic sidelined due to injury, Klay Thompson’s role has become even more crucial. Alongside Kyrie Irving, he is expected to shoulder more responsibility as Dallas prepares for a matchup against the Sacramento Kings.
