Throughout his legendary NFL career, Tom Brady not only achieved immense success and fame but also forged lasting friendships, particularly with Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman. After parting ways with the NFL, the three chose the path to broadcasting and they have now reunited for the first time as analysts.
Their bond is so strong that Gronkowski even followed Brady to a new NFL team, though Edelman chose to stay, signing at the end of his football career. Since joining Fox Sports as analysts, the trio reunited recently to discuss which teams in the NFC are the best, on Fox NFL Kickoff.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion’s appearance was not a surprise for his friends, as Gronk kicked off the discussion by inviting “a friend” to join the engaging conversation. “You don’t mind if I bring a friend now?” asked Gronk, to which he received a big yes from everyone on the panel, including Edelman with a big smile on his face.
The legendary tight end then went on to call for his “buddy,” and the Fox Sports lead analyst made an entrance and was greeted by loud cheers from everyone in the room. With three New England Patriots legends in the room, Charissa Thompson lightheartedly suggested that the rest of the crew should just leave.
In response, Gronk jokingly told Brady to go away, eliciting laughter from everyone as they all playfully resisted the idea. Of course, Brady stayed, while tossing the football around with his friends, Gronk and Edelman.
Tom Brady declared Eagles among NFC’s best teams
After some playful banter, Thompson redirected the conversation back to the main point of the show– which team is the best in the NFC. Having the legendary quarterback in attendance, she asked him about his thoughts on the Philadelphia Eagles, as many of them in the room had already picked the Eagles as the best team in the NFC.
Additionally, Brady praised the Eagles star Saquon Barkley, for his exhilarating play that has brought him with second-best odds at winning the grand NFL MVP honor. After a slow start, they have kicked off brilliantly and many believe this consistency would pay them well.
