The seven-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady who won six rings with the New York Patriots, left the team in haste and landed in Tampa Bay, where he had a successful run for the Super Bowl. However, Brady knew something was missing and that was his strong backing by Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.
Since Brady wanted the legendary trio in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he approached the wide receiver and tight end. While the latter agreed, the former turned down the offer. In a recent conversation with Mike Kadlick, Brady and Edelman sat together for Brady’s YouTube video and opened up about the attempted reunion in Tampa Bay.

“Yeah, he called me and was like, ‘Hey, babe, you want to come down? I’ll get you here,” replied the three-time Super Bowl champion, laughing before Brady added, “He turned me down. He rejected me.”
It probably happened when Edelman was retiring from the NFL after a legendary career in the Patriots. He could have added another ring to his name in Tampa Bay with the star quarterback and tight end, but he preferred retirement.

While reuniting for the YouTube content video, Brady and Edelman reminisced about their time together in New England and reliving the popular plays. One of those compelled Brady to let his former teammate know that he ran the route wrong and scolded him for doing so jokingly.

But when Edelman didn’t agree with Brady and denied admitting the play was wrong, Brady took out the Patriots’ playbook to prove his point. Nonetheless, their time together in New England is something both they and the fans will cherish forever.
