It seems that naming his wife as his stylist has proven to be costly for the New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne. Recently, a reporter put him in an awkward position by asking for his wife’s number without hesitation after complimenting him for his outfit.
The season may not be going well for the team, but the Patriots wide receiver Bourne isn’t compromising on his style. Every Sunday, he arrives in stylish attire that captures the attention of football fans on social media. This time, when he was seen not in the usual New England jersey, he received compliments for his outfit from the reporters.
Responding to those, the receiver shared that the real credit goes to his wife, Vanessa, who has a keen eye for styling and prepares all his outfits to make him “look like a professional.” Things quickly took an awkward turn, when Dan Roche of WBZ Sports became a bit too frank and asked for Vanessa’s number from her husband.
Bourne was initially taken aback but regained his composure.

Coming to Roche’s rescue, another reporter stepped into the conversation clarifying that Dan intended to ask for a business card only. Since Bourne got a hang of the situation by then, he told the reporter to follow his wife on Instagram.
Kendrick Bourne takes responsibility for key miss in Patriots’ loss to Cardinals
The Patriots are coming off a poor 30-17 loss at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15. While there were many failed plays, one that got highlighted most was by the Bourne. A clip shared by CLNS’s Taylor Kyles showed that wide receiver Demario Douglas was targeted for a pass in a critical 3rd-and-19 attempt.
Bourne, who has been a glimmer of hope for the Patriots’ offense, was supposed to execute a block on the play in the 3rd-and-19 situation but he failed to do so, resulting in Douglas not being able to advance enough to convert the play.

After the game, Bourne took full responsibility for the failed play on social media, by sharing, “Facts, this is a bad ball by me.” Bourne has been one of the few standout performers on the offense and continues to be a key addition to the team as the Patriots aim to redefine their identity ahead of the 2025 season.
