NFL quarterbacks appear to be embracing the Christmas spirit inspired by Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar Patrick Mahomes. Just a day after he surprised his team, the San Francisco 49ers’ Brock Purdy went above and beyond to delight his offensive line with an extravagant present for Christmas.
Purdy, who’s awaiting a big payday in the coming offseason, treated his boys on the offensive line to some impressive new rides. He made a grand gesture by gifting them the luxurious Toyota trucks recognizing their hard work and dedication to the team. The 49ers’ official X handle shared a video, calling the quarterback “Santa Purdy.”
In the video, the star quarterback can be seen entering a room filled with his teammates, where he promptly apologized for keeping them waiting. He then revealed that he had surprise gifts for everyone and led them outside to unveil a stunning lineup of vehicles: five Sequoias and five Tundras, all parked and ready to go.

The starting price for the 2025 Toyota Tundra is $40,090 and goes up to $77,455, while the 2025 Toyota Sequoia begins at $62,175 and goes up to $88,725. For a player earning an average annual salary of $934,252, the total cost of the ten Toyota trucks significantly exceeds his salary cap— leading to the question: how did the 49ers’ quarterback afford the Christmas gifts?
Could Toyota’s partnership have influenced Brock Purdy’s lavish gifts to teammates?
The Pro Bowl signal-caller signed a contract with Toyota earlier this year to become their national brand ambassador. He also featured in national ads as part of Toyota’s partnership with the league to celebrate and welcome the new generation of draft stars.
Thus, there’s a possibility that Toyota sponsored Purdy’s generous gifts to his teammates unlike Mahomes, who presented his teammates with a variety of presents such as Rolex watches, Lucchese leather boots, WHOOP bands and products, and Oakley sunglasses.
