The incident came to light when Bueckers alerted the authorities after a barrage of “rambling” emails and social media posts targeting the player made her concerned about the safety of her family and friends.

Parmalee also posted several deep fakes of Bueckers, along with photoshopped wedding invitations and his plans to get her expelled from the University of Connecticut.

He was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from Oregon for arson, before being charged with breach of peace, electronic stalking, and harassment by the UConn police department.
