“Not voting for Arod is terrible” – Ex-Yankees star Alex Rodriguez getting SNUBBED by BBWAA for 2025 MLB HOF ignites furious reactions from fans

As the festive period rolls on, the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA) members continue to cast their votes for the 2025 MLB Hall of Fame. Several writers, who revealed their votes online, have snubbed Alex Rodriguez. This has ignited furious reactions from fans on social media.
The former New York Yankees star is currently in his fourth year of eligibility. On the previous three appearances, he has fallen way short of the required 75 percent vote to enter Cooperstown. This year he once again finds himself on the ballot.
During his 22-year career, Rodriguez hit a staggering 696 home runs and batted in 2086 runs while hitting at an average of .295. He won the World Series with the Yankees in 2009, was named as the AL MVP three times, and found himself on the All-Star team on 14 occasions.
Despite all these accomplishments, A-Rod has not made it to the Hall of Fame. The major reason for this has been his usage of Performance-enhancing Drugs (PEDs). In 2009, the former MLB shortstop admitted to using PEDs after repeatedly denying this earlier.
On Tuesday, Mark Feinsand shared his votes for the 2025 Hall of Fame. The MLB insider, like many of his colleagues, did not vote for Rodriguez this year.
Mailed in my @baseballhall ballot. It’s always an honor to take part in this process, one I never take for granted.

And if Ichiro isn’t unanimous, it isn’t my fault. pic.twitter.com/STWjfoLibO
When asked about his decision regarding A-Rod, Feinsand pointed out that he had voted for him in 2022 and 2023 and since he fell short of the threshold, he felt like it was a wasted vote.
I voted for Alex in 2022 and 2023. He has finished in the same 34-35% in all three of his years on the ballot, so I feel like it's a wasted vote. If I didn't have 10 others I wanted to vote for, I likely would have put him back on, but I opted to vote for the others, instead.

Fans react to Alex Rodriguez not getting voted for 2025 MLB Hall of Fame
Despite the controversy surrounding Alex Rodriguez following his admission of usage of PEDs, several fans have supported him. Many fans on social media have urged for his inclusion into the Hall of Fame alongside other top players who did not make it to Cooperstown due to their history with steroids.
Reacting to his snub by Mark Feinsand, fans took aim at the MLB insider. Many of them criticized the BBWAA members for their choices. One fan wrote, “Not voting for Arod is terrible,” while reacting to this.

Leaving out A-Rod & Manny should disqualify you. This type of shit insults our intelligence & is why most fans feel like the HOF has been cheapened.

What an absolute disgrace…and then the hubris to post this publicly talking about the great “honor” it is.
Truly shameful.
Trash ballot

This is a joke right?

How can you ignore A-rod. You & your colleagues punish a select few for a generation.

Why no vote for Manny or Alex, but vote for Pettite?

Another disaster ballot on the loose
— PF (@RealistPF) December 24, 2024
I'm not feeling this explanation. ARod is the best player on the ballot. If you feel he should be in, he should get your vote. It doesn't matter that 65% of your brethren are immature goobers. Rise above their incompetence.

Resign. Now!

Horrible picks. Pedroia and Buehrle and no Arod is a sin. Since when is a 3.81 career ERA hall of fame worthy? They should take your voting rights away lol.

Will Rodriguez ever make it to the HOF? Only time can tell that. The BBWAA members will have time until the end of this year to cast their votes. The results of these votes will be announced on January 21, 2025.
