Tyler Herro gets mocked by Ime Udoka

Following a tremendous fourth-quarter comeback, the Miami Heat defeated the Houston Rockets 104-100 in a thrilling Sunday night matchup. However, the brawl between Tyler Herro and Amen Thompson remains the game’s major storyline. In what has been a fierce week in the NBA, Thompson and Herro got into a fight, and the sophomore guard slammed Herro to the ground to garner more attention.

Herro was at his best against the Rockets, scoring dimes and assisting plays. Not only that, Rockets head coach Ime Udoka also was involved in this altercation. His involvement resulted in his ejection as well among other players. After the game, Ime Udoka aimed a sly dig at Herro and the Heat. The coach also made it known during the post-match press conference.

They were in each other’s faces, bumping chests a little bit. One guy is stronger than the other.

Given the penalties meted out to Jusuf Nurkic and Naji Marshall for their altercation earlier this week, it should come as no surprise that Thompson was expelled from the game and will probably receive a significant ban.

Marshall received a four-game suspension and Nurkic received a three-game suspension for their altercation. That said, Amen Thompson may receive a heavier punishment because of his far more obvious hostility.

The Heat battled to win this game without Jimmy Butler, rallying from a 12-point deficit in the second half. In a game where Thompson’s offensive impact was as poor as usual, he contributed five points (2-4 FG), five rebounds, and five assists, while Herro led the team with 27 points (10-17 FG). All attention will now shift towards the NBA’s decision regarding the suspension.

NBA commentators were left shocked during Tyler Herro-Amen Thompson scuffle

The Miami Heat’s victory over the Houston Rockets was overshadowed by an all-in altercation that started when Tyler Herro and Amen Thompson got into a fight. The NBA community was left stunned by what they witnessed in a span of 2 days. First, it was Jusuf Nurkic and Naji Marshall, now Herro and Thompson followed that up.

The NBA commentators also could not believe what they just saw. Their reaction to the fight was epic. One commentator labeled it as “Madness on the floor here in Houston.” No one seemed hurt after the six players were ejected, and the NBA is probably going to issue any penalties or fines soon.

The Rockets are now 21-10 and in second place in the Western Conference, while the Heat improved their record to 15-14 and seventh in the Eastern Conference with a 104-100 victory. It remains to be seen if the Heat can build momentum after winning without Jimmy Butler.
