Tempers were flaring during the Golden State Warriors vs Dallas Mavericks’ recent matchup at the Chase Center in the NBA. Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic and Warriors veteran Draymond Green were involved in a heated moment during halftime. Notably, this was the second time the two sides met each other in the 2024-25 NBA season.

During the first meetup, Green and the Warriors got the better of Doncic and his team. In addition, Green also taunted Doncic in their previous matchup, yelling in his face. Now, Doncic seemed to give it back to the Warriors star and his teammate. The Mavs came out victorious against the Warriors by 133-145 in the recent matchup.

Moreover, Doncic and Green were involved in an alleged NSFW rant. In a video making rounds on the internet, Luka Doncic allegedly said, “Shut up p*ssy.” Green was walking in the same direction as that of Doncic which made him feel that the Slovenian superstar uttered the words towards him. This led to Green ‘checking up’ on the Mavs star. In return, Doncic again told Green, “Shut up Dray.”

This interaction between the two could have swiftly turned into a heated altercation. However, both stars walked off and were focused on the second half of the game. Luka Doncic scored his 80th triple-double of the season with a season-high 45 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds. He scored nine of his first eleven shots, including four 3-pointers, and finished with 28 points at the half after shooting 16 for 23.

Luka Doncic and Klay Thompson ‘dominated’ Steph Curry and Warriors

Luka Doncic well and truly showed out against the Golden State Warriors on his second return to the Chase Center. Along with scoring a season-high 45 points, he made 6 three-pointers and had 3 steals and 2 blocks as well. He completely dominated the Warriors. Not only Donic, but Klay Thompson also got the better of his former side and teammate, Stephen Curry.

In a tough contest against his previous team, Thompson finished with 29 points after making two clutch three-pointers late in the game. Curry, his Splash Brother, also made a big contribution for Golden State with 26 points and 10 assists. But this was not enough to snatch the win against the Mavs in the NBA.

Both sides will look to quality for the NBA Playoffs this season. As such, the duo could meet up yet again apart from the remaining regular season games. The Warriors will travel to Memphis for their Thursday matchup, while the Mavericks will take on the Los Angeles Clippers next.
