It seems Travis Hunter‘s plan is being written by god who is using Deion Sanders as his representative on earth. Ever since he transferred to the University of Colorado to play for Coach Prime, he has trusted the NFL great’s gut and decision-making skills to dictate the trajectory of his career.
The most critical juncture of the plan comes now as Deion Sanders is not going to rest until his sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, and Travis Hunter land up on a team that will utilize their potential to the max.
On his recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Sanders sent out a stern warning to teams interested in Hunter.
Travis Hunter wants to play wideout and corner, a role that Sanders has done before in the NFL, but skeptics are doubtful if the Heisman winner would be able to accomplish the same. The team that drafts him should play him on both sides of the ball, if not then they will regret it as per Sanders.
Having coached the man for two years, he understands what he is capable of, and Hunter has what it takes to travel down the road less taken.
Travis Hunter is expected to be a top-five pick in the draft
There is a reason Hunter nearly swept all of the awards a player could win in college football except for the Jim Thorpe Award. He is just that good, be it on offense as a wide receiver or as a corner on defense, the man can get it done.
Now it is understandable why there is a lot of doubt on whether he can accomplish the same in the NFL because the hits that he will take will be exponentially harder and the amount of work he will need to put in to familiarize himself with the offensive and defensive game plan would possibly burn him out. However, just because it is hard does not mean it is impossible.
Travis Hunter is an anomaly and the team that drafts him should take full advantage of his talents. Or else as Deion Sanders puts it, “You’re going to look like an idiot.” In that case, the New York Giants should not draft him because his talents are likely to go unnoticed there. Irrespective of where he lands up, Hunter is bound to be a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and the future is bright for him.
