Since Bill Belichick decided to join collegiate football by accepting the head coach position at UNC, he has met with tons of skepticism about this new job. Amid the chaos, his former player Rob Gronkowski has come forward with much-needed support for the legendary head coach for his UNC stint.
The legendary tight end and head coach may not have had an ideal relationship during their time with the New England Patriots, but they sure made amends as they moved on with the next chapter of their lives. Being the host at the LA Bowl for the thrilling matchup between California and UNLV, Gronk endorsed the UNC new head coach.
Additionally, the four-time Super Bowl champion predicted greatness for the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach, stating that he would bring his magic to UNC and soon get everyone hooked to their screens for Tar Heels matches.
"He's going to do an awesome job coaching those young bucks at UNC."

While considering this new job beneath Belichick, many also believe this is merely a secondary pursuit, given that he has the second-highest victories (302) as an NFL head coach and is expected to be inducted into Pro Hall of Famer by 2026. However, after accepting the position at UNC, Belichick shared that he always wanted to coach a college football team.
Belichick’s father previously served as an assistant coach at UNC for two years in the 1950s. The 72-year-old head coach officially joined college football on December 10 and has already begun working to turn UNC into a winning team by recruiting three transfers.
