Declaring himself the league’s ‘best receiver’, Tyreek Hill downplays Davante Adams and Amari Cooper trades to AFC East
Miami Dolphins star wideout Tyreek Hill claimed he is still the best wide receiver in the AFC even after the addition of Davante Adams and Amari Cooper.

Following the rapid trades of Davante Adams to the New York Jets and Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills, the AFC East is stacked with big-name wide receivers. Tyreek Hill isn’t fazed—the Miami Dolphins wide receiver remains confident that he is at the top of the food chain in the division.
Adams’ move to the Jets was teased for a while, but Cooper’s move to the Bills went under the radar. As a matter of fact, both trades happened on the same day but barely made it to the headlines until the media had its fill of Adams linking up with former Packers QB Aaron Rodgers in New York.
In the meantime, Hill, who visited Paris as it was the Dolphins’ bye week, returned to prepare for the Colts on week 7. Reporters asked the 30-year-old whether his #1 status was under threat with the addition of Adams and Cooper into the division.
Hill had a massive smile on his face after hearing the question.

Hill may be the only receiver among the trio to win a Super Bowl, but also the one without a quarterback, as Tua Tagovailoa is in concussion protocol. He could have solved his problems by rejoining the Chiefs, but the 8x Pro Bowler revealed he is happy at South Beach.
Tyreek Hill feels the Dolphins defense can handle Davante Adams and Amari Cooper
The Dolphins are 2-4 after six games and somehow sit second in the division as the Jets failed to beat the Bills on Monday. A day later, they announced trading for Davante Adams, and subsequently, the Bills, who had been looking for a #1 receiver since the departure of Stefon Diggs, welcomed Amari Cooper.
Adams and Cooper have a combined 9 Pro Bowls and 3 All-Pro mentions to their name, but Hill claimed their defense can easily shut both down.
Despite the disappointing results, the Dolphins have a capable backline with Jalen Ramsey, Elijah Campbell, Kendall Fuller, and Jevon Holland.
The Dolphins have the best third-down defense in 2024, allowing just 25.5% conversion. Third in passing defense with just three passing touchdowns in six games and fifth in average yards allowed per game (285.2).
However, the Dolphins are 26th as a red zone defense. 66.7% of the touchdowns conceded came in the final third. The Dolphins play the Bills in week 9 but have to wait until week 14 to face the Jets.
