The most anticipated Jake Paul–Mike Tyson boxing match had already drawn millions to streaming magnate Netflix. Among those watching were Tyreek Hill, who like many, were drawn by the prospect of the boxing great taking on a much younger fighter.
The fight was piquing everyone’s interest as Mike Tyson is 58 years old, and a long way removed from his dominated days of old. But he still has that fight in him which made him train hard and prepare for this. On the other hand, Jake Paul may be a YouTuber and social media phenomenon, but he takes his fights seriously.
His lack of elite fighting skills was to balance out Tyson’s age. Which is why, many who were not subscribed to Netflix, renewed their subscriptions to watch this epic fight, with Miami Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill being one of them. But as the fight went through its rounds, Hill posted this on his X profile.
His words summed up what he and everyone else felt about the fight. After initially landing a few blows, Mike Tyson seemed to struggle. He looked exhausted and could barely keep up with the 27-year-old’s swift jabs—to the extent that it seemed as if it was better if Tyson’s camp threw in the towel.
Mike made me get my Netflix account back for nothing

However, the multiple-time heavy weight champion kept soldiering on and lasted the full eight rounds. But he knew at the end that he had lost fair and square. For the likes of Hill though, it was a bore fest that he would have not renewed his subscription for.
JJ Watt chimes in on disappointing Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight
Along with it being a bore fest, Netflix’s streaming left many frustrated. All throughout the fight, fans witnessed constant buffering, and even at one point, it blacked out for a couple of minutes. The streaming giant tried to fight through it, but it became the story of the night.
Add to that, the timing of the fight ensured many had to stay up late to watch it. Along with the buffering, the fight left fans wanting more. In fact, some pointed out that the opening bouts were more entertaining than the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight. Former three-time defensive player of the year JJ Watt chimed in.
Mad at myself for staying awake for that.

I know better.
JJ Watt‘s words echoed what many fans felt. For him to put his family to sleep and then lose crucial rest time to a bore fest was not what he had in mind. Ultimately, Jake Paul won by a unanimous decision.
