NFL Week 15 Sunday football has a sleuth of exciting games lined up. With the way the playoff battle is closing down, the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup seems like one that could alter the course of the final playoff spots.

Both of them have to win if they are to avoid getting run over by their conference rivals. The Eagles have one foot on a first-round bye, but a slip to the Steelers could give the chasing Minnesota Vikings a chance to snatch that place.

On the other hand, the Steelers are one step behind in the race to get a bye. Given the fact that they have overachieved this season might suggest that fans might take it easy on them. But Russell Wilson and Mike Tomlin are playing to defy the notions that they are an average team.

The Eagles, on the other hand, have had controversy surrounding their offense this past week. With both teams in a fight for supremacy and trying to get rid of the narratives surrounding them, the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Philadelphia Eagles battle in NFL Week 15 is expected to be exciting.

Why can the Pittsburgh Steelers win?

Just a few weeks ago, many analysts questioned if Russell Wilson was the right person to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers offense. Additionally, his inefficiency in the red zone meant his teammates could not convert scoring opportunities.

In this NFL Week 15 matchup, those problems will be compounded as leading receiver George Pickens won’t suit up again. However, in their last two games, Wilson led his team to play some good offense despite Pickens not being available for their last win.

On the other hand, the TJ Watt led defense has returned to its dominating ways when they throttled the Cleveland Browns to just 14 points. With the Eagles struggles in the passing game laid bare last week, that vaunted Pittsburgh Steelers defense should have an easier task focusing on stopping Saquon Barkley.

Why can the Philadelphia Eagles win?

The Philadelphia Eagles have been the most discussed team this past week after leading receiver AJ Brown’s comments suggested the locker room had problems. They were compounded when team leader Brandon Graham revealed that Brown and Jalen Hurts aren’t friends anymore.

The receiver then came out to clarify that nothing was wrong, and he did not intend those words at his quarterback. If they managed to clear it amongst themselves, it will be good for the locker room. It also makes the Eagles favorites to win this game as a team.

The offense has Saquon Barkley playing at an unreal level and the passing game can contribute at will. Subsequently, the offensive line remains a stud unit, and the defense is playing out of this world. Even the season-ending injury to Graham has not stopped the unit from continuing to be excellent and hard to beat.
