In Week 15, the Philadelphia Eagles went in to battle the Pittsburgh Steelers in the backdrop of some locker room drama. Superstar wideout AJ Brown made some comments that were allegedly a shot at teammate Jalen Hurts after their previous win. That comment made it seem like the team was about to implode.
What made matters worse is that team leader Brandon Graham suggested the relationship between the two leading offensive players was ‘not friendly’. This further fueled the notion that the team had a problem on its hands with those two egos.
Against the Carolina Panthers, Jalen Hurts threw for just 108 yards, failing to get his two leading receivers going. But today against that Pittsburgh Steelers vaunted defense, Hurts opened the taps and threw for 290 yards.
In doing so, he managed to send the ball to Brown eight times for 110 yards. In one of those early targets, Brown scored a touchdown, marking the end of a two-game drought and bringing out a noteworthy celebration.

He joined his quarterback in performing a dance routine as they helped extend the Eagles’ lead to 10-3. That routine probably suggested all is well in the Philadelphia Eagles locker room after a week of drama brought unwanted attention.
Hurts threw more yards to Brown’s fellow receiver DeVonta Smith than he did in the entire game against the Panthers. Smith even caught a touchdown as they managed to extend the score. The only downside of the offense today was that Saquon Barkley did not continue his 100 yards per game streak.
AJ Brown clarifies the Eagles locker room situation
This celebration capped off a good game for the Eagles’ offense. They withstood the steady wave of attacks from an outstanding defense to win the game 27-13. When reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks asked AJ Brown if he had planned the celebration in advance to prove a point, Brown responded directly.
The former All-Pro suggesting it was the best way to shut down all the outside noise was the closure the Eagles needed after a trying week. It was rumored that Brandon Graham, Brown, Jalen Hurts, along with the entire team, met to clear the air out.

“That was our moment to tell everyone to shut up”

Concurrently, it seems those yards through the air has had an impact on clearing it up. Playing like that against one of the best defenses should give them optimism, with three winnable games remaining. If they win their next two, they can rest their starters against the Giants with of a playoff bye.
