There are still two games left before the chosen few (former players, officials, and media personnel) will get to pick the 2024 NFL MVP. The Buffalo Bills’ offensive line (O-line) already crowned their quarterback Josh Allen as the best player in football with an exceptional Christmas gift.

Before the Christmas Day games kicked off in Pittsburgh and Houston, the Bills’ offensive line gifted a customized diamond chain with the word ‘MVP’ and no ‘17’ engraved on the front, for the 3549 yards and 26 touchdown shot caller.

On the back, the chain contained the names of Allen’s offensive linemen- Dion Dawkins, David Edwards, Conner McGovern, Spence Brown, Ryan Van Demark, Alec Andreson, Will Clapp, Richard Gouraige, Tylan Grable, Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, Mike Edwards and Tommy Doyle.

According to reports, the diamond-crusted MVP chain from the Bills O-line to Josh Allen cost around $50,000. It’s certainly a role reversal from the norm. Usually, quarterbacks gift their O-line with Christmas presents.

Recently Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow turned heads by sending katana swords (used by samurai in the 1500s) to Alex Cappa and Co. When asked the reason behind such a unique choice of gift, Burrow revealed that his O-Line wanted guns which he isn’t too familiar with so he opted for the next best thing.

Kansas City Chiefs QB and 2x NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes gifted ‘Rolex, Lucchese boots, Yeti coolers, Oakleys, and Normatecs.’

Sports Illustrated reported that Pittsburgh Steelers QB Russell Wilson personally handed out a $10,000 gift card for Airbnb (can be redeemed anywhere in the world), a custom Louis Vuitton duffle bag in Steelers colors, custom-made shoes from Wilson’s Good Man Brand, and a bottle of his wife Ciara’s TenToOne rum.

Allen announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend and Hollywood actor Hailee Steinfeld on November 22 during Bills’ bye week. He revealed Steinfeld’s presence in his life has been a blessing for him. In four games since then, Allen scored 16 touchdowns—8 passing, 7 rushing, and one receiving TD, courtesy of Amari Cooper’s quick thinking.
