Aaron Rodgers is having quite the moment with his back-and-forth dart throwing sessions with ESPN analysts. However, one aspect he cannot shy away is the abysmal season he is having with the New York Jets. That argument has been the basis of all the talk from members of the media.

After the quarterback called out ESPN analysts for criticizing his play, Ryan Clark dealt a big blow by calling him a fraud. To this, Rodgers went on The Pat McAfee Show to disregard Clark’s accomplishments and even invoked his vaccination status as something that undermines his opinions.

Clark came back with a clip where he made it clear that nothing can stop him or his colleagues from calling out Aaron Rodgers’ abysmal performances. When it was ESPN’s NFL Insider Dan Graziano’s turn, he decided to remind the Jets what they are getting from the 41-year-old quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers is a con artist, he’s a narcissist, he’s self-absorbed to the absolute maximum. And if he has you fooled, again, that’s on you. If the Jets go back to Aaron Rodgers next year, they deserve what they get, and it will not be good. They know this, they’ve lived it for the last two years.

The Insider tried to hit home the point that the New York Jets will shoot themselves in the foot if they go back to the four-time MVP next season. Dan Graziano feels, this season Rodgers has shown nothing that gives any team hope to play playoff football.

Aaron Rodgers’ future with New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers is at the center of a difficult situation with the New York Jets. He does have a lot of players on the offensive that he personally requested them to sign. But even then, they had a horrible season as the offense could not get it going.

That coupled with the firings of Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas has left the franchise without a clear future. The New York Jets want to win a Super Bowl after more than half a century of misery. On the other hand, they want to ensure their post Rodgers era starts off smoothly.

The quarterback has made it clear he wants to return with the Jets but also acknowledged that it is up to them to decide if they want him back. The New York Jets, though, are not in a favorable position to have a quarterback of their liking.

They won’t have a high enough pick to pick one of the top quarterbacks in next year’s draft. Whereas there are not enough quality veteran quarterbacks available to move on from Rodgers. On top of everything is the Jets dysfunction that has come to light, leaving them in a precarious situation.
