The New York Jets went in Week 16, knowing their pride was on the line when they were to face the Los Angeles Rams. That meant Aaron Rodgers would have to find Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams to score points and win at home.

The latter did happen as the two friends connected for a touchdown early in the first quarter to give the home team a lead. But from then on, the Jets offense stagnated. The stagnation was baffling for fans and analysts as the four-time MVP threw a game high 256 yards.

But none of them mattered as the New York Jets lost to the Rams 9-19 in what was an embarrassing outing for the offense. The embarrassment was made worse as their defense had kept the Rams’ offense from truly taking off, which gave their offense enough chances to win.

It brought back conversations about the inept offense under Aaron Rodgers and the current coaching staff. So much so, that when reporters asked Garrett Wilson about his lack of targets, the young receiver couldn’t help but express his frustration.

I just gotta out and put my best foot forward and hope that things fall my way. I would love to be involved, love to make an impact on the game but if people see it differently, then that’s out of my control. Just try and do what I can do.

The third-year receiver is close to setting his third straight 1000 receiver yards season. However, his lack of activity for much of the game meant he was not happy with not being involved. His words, though, were that of frustration, which brings back questions of his interest in staying with the franchise.

Garrett Wilson continues to vent his frustrations

The star wideout’s words could add on to rumors of him wanting out after this season. He has expressed his frustrations before and received a response from Aaron Rodgers in terms of touchdowns. However, the receiver went on to Instagram to post a story.

Yu think I’m tryna be cool w that 5 yard catch??? Absolutely no, I’m tryna take that mf to the crib. Turn it into an explosive. Shake the whole squad/at least go out trying. Yu prolly nvr understand. If u mad about 2 yards jus know that’s why we won’t get along.

Garrett Wilson wrote

It is unclear who he was referring to in this rant. However, it is clear that he is not happy with some measly short targets, especially when the likes of Davante Adams are getting the bulk of the load. That has been the story over these past two games.

Time will tell if Garrett Wilson goes ahead and asks for a trade out. He knows Aaron Rodgers’ first choice is his friend Davante Adams. If he were to stay and this continues, his intentions of becoming the best wide receiver in the sport will take a hit, and with that, the chances of a massive payday.
