The New York Jets are in turmoil after The Athletic’s article revealed the dysfunction prevailing in the Woody Johnson owned franchise. In the midst of it all is quarterback Aaron Rodgers who is not sure about his future even though he has declared his interest in continuing.
The 41-year-old did however acknowledge that the Jets have to want him back at the franchise. He approved the possibility of them drafting a quarterback, even willing to mentor the rookie. But with the team still without a GM or a head coach, his future remains uncertain.
The article also revealed that the owner’s two sons Brick Johnson and Jack Johnson were instrumental in some decisions. Rumors of the teenagers meddling with affairs and influencing personnel decisions were refuted by the organization.
However, the franchise has been viewed in a negative light since those allegations came to light. Throughout this time, Aaron Rodgers had not talked about the article. But when he went on The Pat McAfee Show earlier, his friends asked him if he was worried about Brick Johnson releasing him.

Aaron Rodgers poked fun at the situation almost acknowledging it could be a possibility. Brick Johnson already usurped him inside the locker room once. The Athletic published the article after speaking with several inside sources who confirmed the incident happened.
Aaron Rodgers thinks leaks are a part of the Jets problem
Those inside sources could be players, both current and former, as well as team personnel. The leaks indicate there are a few unhappy people willing to reveal everything to reporters looking for a story. If anything, Aaron Rodgers believes that is part of the problem the New York Jets have.
The four-time MVP mentioned that the franchise must find a way to address those leaks. As they are coming from within the organization, it shows severe disconnect among the employees. That culture is what the New York Jets are missing.
"It can't be the norm that there are so many leaks..

What's best for the Jets is not having these leaks all of the time..
It doesn't have a direct impact on the players on the field but it does have an impact on the culture & the chemistry of the building" @AaronRodgers12… https://t.co/KO0Wymty3W pic.twitter.com/qJEppJxaoF
Rodgers had talked about it earlier in the season about establishing a winning culture. With the current state of dysfunction exposed to the football world, it will take a lot to restore order. Woody Johnson has a task on his hands if his franchise is to avoid further such embarrassments.
