Aaron Rodgers is approaching another milestone in his two-decade-long career and Davante Adams wants to be part of it. The veteran New York Jets quarterback is all set to become just the fifth player ever to throw 500 touchdown passes.
Despite a 4-11 season, Rodgers threw 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for the Jets and is currently on 499 career touchdown passes. All-Pro receiver Davante Adams, who caught Rodgers’ 200th and 400th touchdown passes during their time together at the Green Bay Packers, wants to be the recipient of the 41-year-old’s 500th touchdown pass.
Rodgers can easily etch his name into NFL history books with two games remaining in the season. The Jets travel a short distance to the Meadowlands to face divisional rivals 12-3 Buffalo Bills and end the campaign by hosting the 7-8 Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium.

With his future at the Big Apple in doubt, Rodgers must utilize these two games to the fullest and possibly squeeze a couple of wins to close the season. Otherwise, there will be teams that would like to take him off the Jets’ hands next year.
Who are the quarterbacks ahead of Aaron Rodgers in the 500-touchdown column?
There have been several great quarterbacks over the years but only a chosen few wrote their names in record books. Rodgers is close to being part of the 500 club but who are the four QBs ahead of him in the list?
Tom Brady: Of course, the 46-year-old had to be part of this list. His longevity helped him not only play lots of matches but also make the most of it by throwing 649 touchdown passes for two teams, the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Drew Brees: The New Orleans Saints legend is the only quarterback who led the team to a Super Bowl victory. Similar to Brady, Brees played for a while and threw 571 touchdown passes.
Peyton Manning: The Hall of Famer was one of the fiercest rivals to both Brady and Aaron Rodgers during his playing years. The former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos QB threw 539 touchdowns in his illustrious career.
Brett Favre: Last but not least is Rodgers’ predecessor, Brett Favre who put the Packers back on the map by leading the Green Bay franchise to a Super Bowl after a thirty-year gap. Favre in his career played for three other teams besides the Packers: the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, and Atlanta Falcons. He threw a total of 508 touchdown passes.
