When the New York Jets signed Aaron Rodgers, the hope was for him to come in, have an instant impact, and make them a Super Bowl contender. However, the Jets have been disappointing and their 4-11 record has them out of playoff contention. While the quarterback’s future with the team remains uncertain, another star’s prospects of staying with the Jets are contingent upon his decision.
Star wideout Garrett Wilson who still has two years left on his rookie contract is considering a change of scenario if Aaron Rodgers opts to return as the quarterback of the Jets. As per Ian Rapoport, he has not yet asked to be traded but moving forward that is a likely possibility.
Over the season, Wilson has shown his displeasure with the manner in which the Jets offense has functioned. Last week he vented out his frustration on the team’s offense, before that he lost it on Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines, and he seemingly remained unfazed when asked about the possibility of the veteran quarterback leaving New York after this season.

Garrett Wilson is not happy about the New York Jets losing games despite having the necessary talent
The Jets have struggled offensively this season despite having immense talent on their roster. It has been a rocky ride for them this year as they witnessed changes in head coach and offensive coordinator. With these many inconsistencies, it is hard for a team to stay focused, and Aaron Rodgers has missed a few looks when throwing to Wilson.
As per Ian Rapoport, Wilson’s frustration stems from the veteran quarterback not passing him the ball enough.
The wideout has 987 yards for 6 touchdowns this season. He can record a 1,000-yard season but his desire to win and make a serious post-season run remains unfulfilled.
Another reason for Garrett Wilson’s frustration would be the addition of Davante Adams to the Jets. While he boosts their offense, his connection with Aaron Rodgers makes him the quarterback’s go-to target, which means Wilson will never be the top target with him throwing the ball. If he wants to grow and have a bigger impact on the offense, it might be hard for Wilson to do so in this environment.
