While the season is already over for the New York Jets, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was hoping to achieve the mark of 500 touchdowns at least. And given that he has already attained the count of 499, the remaining didn’t seem something he would struggle with. However, counting the latest loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills, Rodgers marked the 14 games in a row without a single touchdown.
In another disastrous loss at 40-14, the veteran quarterback’s outing was observed to be abysmal with 112 yards, two interceptions, and zero touchdowns. The fans and critics began to question his future in the league following the 4-13 record, which ranked Rodgers second among former MVP quarterbacks with the highest losses in a season.
Amid the growing criticism and skepticism, New York wide receiver Davante Adams has come forward to support his teammate and close friend, Rodgers, emphasizing his resilience and dedication to the game. He justified the four-time NFL MVP’s disastrous season with injuries, which Rodgers was apparently going through for most of the 2024 season.

"A lot of this season he's fought through injury, so he hasn't been able to put his best product out there. Aaron has put his everything into this game. He's one of the best QBs to ever play this game. No matter what happens from this… pic.twitter.com/hBT4xqyNom
Despite the losing 4-13 season, the three-time All-Pro appreciated Rodgers’ efforts to bounce back and do everything in his power to avoid the disastrous, which now seems, inevitable. The Jets are left with one game in the season against the Miami Dolphins and they hope to conclude the 2024 campaign on a good note of victory.
Aaron Rodgers surpasses Tom Brady for most sacks but fails to reach 500 TDs
Rodgers entered Highmark Stadium in Week 17 to make history with a 500-career touchdown count. However, everything happened except that. Though he got the spotlight, it came rather negatively with the second-most losses by a former MVP quarterback and surpassing Tom Brady’s record of being the most-sacked quarterback.
Besides these, the ten-time Pro Bowler also recorded the lowest QBR of his career with 1.2 in the Week 17 game against the Bills’ Josh Allen, who recorded 182 yards with two scoring touchdowns, while frontrunning the NFL MVP race of this season.
