Mark Schlereth mocks Aaron Rodgers and the Jets for playing ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ before blowout loss to Bills
Despite entering Highmark Stadium while listening to energetic hip-hop music, the New York Jets failed to display the same level of energy on the gridiron.

The New York Jets were knocked out of playoff contention two weeks ago, yet the team opted to send all of its starters out and play them against the Buffalo Bills. In the seconds leading up to kickoff, the motivation level seemed high as opposed to the low temperatures at Highmark Stadium.
The New York Jets, led by Aaron Rodgers, decided it was a good idea to run out onto the field with a boombox playing Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio, an all-time classic. However, their subsequent performance was not gangster but garbage as they fell 41-14 to the Bills.
Unsurprisingly, the internet had a field day mocking the Jets over their pre-game ritual. Three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth had a field day mocking Aaron Rodgers and his team over this.
Considering the season this team has had, the only song they should be playing while running out is Bring Me Back to Life by Evanescence because their style of play has been lifeless for the most part.
Aaron Rodgers and the Jets were struggling to get into a rhythm against the Bills
Although New York lost the game, the team’s quarterback had a night to remember. ARod etched his name into yet another category in the record books. He beat Tom Brady to become the most sacked quarterback in NFL history with 566. That is not a stat a quarterback would hope to be leading in.
Sunday night’s matchup between the Jets and the Bills went just the way fans had envisioned for it to go. There was some hope for Aaron Rodgers & Co. to put up a solid effort rather than get blown out completely.
The shocking part, however, was that the four-time NFL MVP needed one touchdown to become the fifth player ever to record 500 touchdown passes in his career, but he decided to settle for 2 interceptions instead.

Aaron Rodgers was benched for Tyrod Taylor, and the veteran came in and led the Jets to two successful touchdown drives. Those did not reflect well on Rodgers because his tenure as the team’s quarterback has not been going the way he had expected it to go. It is best that he decide to hang it up for this season and prioritize playing better for this organization next season if he chooses to return.
