Lamar Jackson chooses to be humble after reaching top speed of 21.25 mph against Texans
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson capped off another MVP-caliber performance and the cherry on the top was the 21.25 mph rushing touchdown against Houston Texans on Christmas.

Derrick Henry had 27 carries and was three yards shy of 150 yards and one touchdown but in the end, his quarterback, Lamar Jackson, stole the show on Christmas. Jackson’s darting run at the beginning of the third quarter left everyone amazed inside the NRG Stadium and that too after Beyoncé’s performance moments earlier.
From first and ten in the midfield, Jackson faked a handoff to Henry and took off with the tight end duo of Mark Andrews and Isiah Likely blocking the Houston Texans players. The 27-year-old ran right past the Texans’ dugout to score a 48-yard rushing touchdown.
According to the NFL’s Next Gen Stats, Lamar Jackson reached speeds up to 21.25 mph during his touchdown run, which was the fastest of his NFL career. However, when reporters asked the Pro Bowl shotcaller, he gave a savage reply.
You replay it back, he legitimately looks like he’s not running full speed https://t.co/oL2NdWfjEM

If that was jogging, then perhaps the NFL should put Jackson in the Tyreek Hill vs. Noah Lyles race in the Pro Bowl. That would be one hell of a race.

Anyways, Jackson capped off a 34-2 dominating win over the Ravens taking the Ravens to 11-5 with one game left to go. Maybe, the Ravens organization should invite Beyoncé to their games. In her presence, he beat former Falcons and Eagles QB Michael Vick to become the greatest-ever dual-threat quarterback and reached his personal best sprint speed.
Derrick Henry gives verdict of NFL MVP in Lamar Jackson’s favor
When the Ravens announced the signing of Henry, football fans knew they were in for a treat, and it was bang on the money. Despite a few losses along the way, both players dominated their respective scenes, curating their MVP claims.
After 16 games, Henry logged 305 carries for 1789 yards and 14 touchdowns but he feels Lamar Jackson deserves the MVP for the second straight season.
Derrick Henry on Lamar Jackson getting MVP chants at an away game: "He deserves it. He's been doing this for a long time, and it's only right for him to get a third one. The stats prove it."

Super Bowl winner Richard Sherman backed Jackson to get his third MVP.
I will say what I have been saying. Lamar Jackson has the numbers this season and should win it easily. I didn’t understand the sentiment that the race was over like Buffalo was the #1 seed. If he ends up with 45+ TDS and under 5 ints without an MVP I’m not sure how that is…

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen led the MVP race prior to the Christmas Day fixtures. However, that’s sure to change. Jackson through 16 games, has a 121.6 passer rating. The last two occasions a quarterback crossed 120 passer rating won the NFL MVP (Aaron Rodgers, both for the Green Bay Packers, in 2011 122.5 won the Super Bowl, in 2020 121.5).
