The Dallas Cowboys have had far from the ideal season so far. The team’s lackluster performance has resulted in a 5-7 season and injuries to key players throughout the season such as Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons further hurt them.
The team’s quarterback is out for the season but he continues to support his teammates. Dak Prescott recently reiterated his unwavering faith in Head Coach Mike McCarthy. The quarterback vouched for McCarthy to return to the Cowboys for another tenure as his contract is set to conclude after this season.
His comments attracted criticism from fans and analysts since Mike McCarthy has failed to yield the desired results in four years since he took the job. The team’s owner and General Manager Jerry Jones responded to Prescott’s comments during his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan as reported by Jon Machota.

He acknowledged the importance that Prescott’s input has in the team’s decision-making process as he is an integral part of their future.

Lamb has nine drops this season with a third of them coming in the team’s win against the New York Giants last week. With five more weeks of football left to play, the team remains hopeful of making a last-minute playoff push. Star linebacker Micah Parsons expressed his optimism on the Cowboys’ playoff hopes after the team’s win over the Giants but it will be easier said than done.
Dallas is scheduled to face the Cincinnati Bengals this week, a game in which the defense will need to outplay the offense as Joe Burrow has been lighting up opposing defenses every week this season. The Bengals’ Achilles heel is their defense but they face a shaky Cowboys offense which works in their favor. Subsequently, Dallas will face the Panthers, Buccaneers, Eagles, and Commanders. From these matchups, they might win against Carolina but it is hard to predict the outcome of the other matchups.
