The San Francisco 49ers hold out a sliver of hope to punch another postseason after a win over the Chicago Bears in the last game. The 49ers are 6-7 in the NFC West, two games shy of tying the Seattle Seahawks for most wins in the group.
After a run to the Super Bowl, the 49ers were expected to iterate the same pathway this year. However, the fates weren’t very kind to them. The Niners’ hopes were badly hurt by the injuries to key players including reigning OPOY Christian McCaffrey. The 49ers have lost at least once to each of their division rivals – a huge aspect of their failures.
Brock Purdy, the team’s starting quarterback ascertained that every game is a must-win ahead of Bears’ match. Purdy reverberated the statement recently, via 49ersWebzone.com, addressing that the Niners need to strategically plan every play and drive. He went on to add that they don’t have any room for mistakes.
In the coming weeks, the Niners play the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions, two of the most highly lauded offensive sides. In addition to them, the Niners are also heading up against the Arizona Cardinals and cross-conference team Miami Dolphins. A win in all four games will see them reaching 10-7 which gives them a fighting chance to stay in the race.
San Francisco 49ers want Brock Purdy to stay with the team in future as well
According to a report by Ian Rapoport, general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan have solidified their decision: Brock Purdy is the San Francisco 49ers’ franchise quarterback for the future.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday that the 49ers are steadfast in their commitment to Brock Purdy. The 49ers are considering Purdy as franchise quarterback and planning to secure his long-term future despite his recent challenges.
