Every week when Tom Brady prepares for his stint as an NFL broadcaster, he has to check himself on what he says about other teams and coaches. As a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, the NFL allegedly put in those measures to avoid bias.
In the Week 14 Sunday games, Brady was noticeably appalled by the decisions Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott made in their close loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The 47-year-old suggested the Bills could have taken a different route if they wanted to win the game.
That led to a discussion on The Pat McAfee Show where they felt the seven-time Super Bowl winner was right to suggest that McDermott and his coaches messed up their chances of being in a position to win. But then, host Pat McAfee asked NFL Insider Adam Schefter if that criticism would land Brady in hot waters.
"Tom Brady is just doing his job and he's a professional..

Schefter believes a handful of owners felt Brady as a broadcaster was going to be detrimental to the rest. He has access to information that could help the Las Vegas Raiders, but then, he is contracted to FOX and has a $375 million deal he has to honor first.

That FOX contract means his first job is to analyze plays as they develop during the game. His criticism of the Bills was him doing his job as he was calling out from his experience. Adam Schefter expanded on what he believes Tom Brady is doing as a professional broadcaster.
The ESPN Insider clarified that as a part of Brady’s job is to report what he sees on the field. Owners restricted him from practices and team meetings, believing it would give him undue insight as a franchise owner.
However, officials cleared him to commentate on Raiders games as questions of neutrality arose. The father of three has nine more seasons before his contract is up for renewal. That could indicate he, the Raiders, the NFL and FOX might have thought it all through.
