Bill Belichick sat out for a while from coaching in the NFL after leaving the New England Patriots. In the 24 years with that franchise, he and Tom Brady won six Super Bowl titles to make them one of the winningest teams in league history. But now, he is moving to college football once he signed to become head coach of UNC.
At first, many expected the 72-year-old to use the UNC interview to gain leverage in any meetings with NFL teams. Some felt it was beneath him to be looking towards coaching in college. They even asked head coach needy teams to call Belichick for an interview.
Even Brady was not sure this was going to happen, as he joked about his former head coach’s ways, which may not be the best way when handling young college athletes. When FOX analyst Kevin Burkhardt asked his colleague what he thought about the news, Brady said.

Tom Brady‘s words reinforce the fact that Bill Belichick is an old school hard-nosed coach. He will not be the warmest coach for those young players at UNC. But he was sure they will get the best coach they could think of.
Bill Belichick signs his first four-star recruit
How Bill Belichick goes about handling recruits is a crucial question, considering what Tom Brady feels about his lack of warmth. Another former Super Bowl champion suggested the new UNC head coach should hire Black coaches to help with recruiting Black athletes.
With the recruiting season in full swing, he is yet to fill out his supporting staff. Chances of him analyzing the list of possible recruits was also a question mark. But he may have been already ahead of his game when it was announced that Bryce Baker committed to the UNC Tar Heels.
The East Forsyth High School senior and four-star quarterback reaffirmed his intentions of staying with UNC. After the university fired former head coach Mack Brown, he had to seek other options, but he committed to stay with UNC after knowing the eight-time Super Bowl winning coach was taking over.
