2024 has been a big year for the UFC. The company managed to grow even more under the TKO Sports banner with Dana White and co at the helm. Even with some legends retiring like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Mauricio Rua, Glover Teixeira, and Jorge Masvidal, there are up and coming names that continue to impress inside the octagon.

We’ve seen some career milestones achieved and extended across the year in quite a few different categories like most fights in UFC history, most wins in UFC history and most KO/TKOs in UFC history. I’ll be going through some of those here and highlighting the big movers and shakers of 2024 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Jim Miller continues to defy the years

Going 2-1, he fought on January 13’s Apex card as well as the UFC 300 and UFC 309 PPV cards. This added to the already lengthy career of the 41-year-old American fighter. The UFC veteran extended another record in 2024 as well.

Most wins in UFC History

Not only did Miller manage to keep up his record of most fights in UFC history, but he also managed to extend his record for the most wins in UFC history. He took his record up to 27 after defeating Damon Jackson at UFC 309 in November.

Charles Oliveira’s Record in jeopardy

Not only did Miller manage to get up to the 27 wins mark, but he can now chase another record. He sits just behind Charles Oliveira with 19 finishes in his UFC career to Do Bronx’s 20.

Oliveira himself managed to fight twice in 2024, going 1-1, with both fights ending in a decision. His UFC 300 fight against Arman Tsarukyan in April saw him lose via split decision. In November, he got a high-profile decision victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 309.

Oliveira and Miller have yet to have their next fight booked. However, there’s a good chance that Oliveira will get the winner of the UFC lightweight title bout between Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan. As such, one can expect to see Do Bronx at UFC 311 to see title fight live.

Derrick Lewis extends lead in KO/TKO wins

Derrick Lewis managed to extend his lead at the top of the KO/TKO Wins charts this year with an impressive TKO win over Rodrigo Nascimento. This takes him to a record 15 KO/TKO wins in his career, with second-place Matt Brown sitting on 13, but he announced his retirement in May of this year.

Beyond that, Dustin Poirier is the only fighter who could conceivably catch up with Lewis as he sits on 11 TKO/KO wins in his career. Anderson Silva and Anthony Johnson are also on 11, but Silva is now retired from MMA and ‘Rumble’ Johnson unfortunately passed away in 2022.

Charles Oliviera sets new benchmark with his 20th Fight Night Bonus in 2024

Do Bronx was also able to set a new benchmark in UFC history by getting up to 20 Fight Night Bonuses in his UFC career. Out of his two fights in 2024, it was the UFC 309 contest with Michael Chandler that earned him the Fight of the Night plaudits, with both men bringing it in the co-main event on PPV.

The UFC Breaks Gate Record in 2024

On top of some of the best fighters in the game upping their already impressive stats, the company themselves were able to secure the biggest gate in their history:

UFC 306, held at The Sphere in Las Vegas, set new records with a $22 million gate. The PPV event became the highest-grossing UFC event to date. The September 14, 2023 event saw Sean O’Malley against Merab Dvalishvili in the main event.
