Michelin Star Chef Gordon Ramsay has been an avid fan of Formula 1 for a long time. He presented himself at the Las Vegas Grand Prix as well and answered some interesting questions related to his choices.
The pinnacle of motorsport has witnessed some great drivers, including current-day Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. The Brit and Verstappen have taken center stage, with the former dominating for the better part of the 2010s. The Dutchman, on the other hand, has been more effective since 2022.
However, the $220 Million worth Gordan Ramsay has snubbed both to name his pick for the greatest F1 driver of all time. The British chef has chosen the late Brazilian legend Ayrton Senna (three-time world champion), having grown up witnessing the latter’s brilliance in the sport.
Both Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen also respect the Ayrton Senna for his immeasurable contribution to motorsport. Up next awaits an exciting race in Vegas where the two drivers seek to maximise their results.
Lewis Hamilton’s take after an extremely dismal Las Vegas quali
After a strong run in all of the practice sessions, Lewis Hamilton yet again failed to capitalize on qualifying at the Las Vegas GP. The 39-year-old starts P10 having lost the rear end of his car during the final Q3 run.
Hamilton feels that he should have been able to secure the pole position in qualifying. The seven-time world champion admits that his efforts did not bear fruit at the correct time, which landed him in P10.
The Brit has failed to perform well not just in races but predominantly in qualifying sessions this season. Despite winning twice this year, the 39-year-old has inevitably shown signs of slowing down. As he departs for Ferrari in 2025, his aim will now be to finish on a high with the Brackley-based team.
