Lamar Jackson has never seen a live performance from Beyonce. Well, he is in luck; the Grammy-winning singer/performer is scheduled to perform during the halftime show of the Baltimore Ravens Christmas Day fixture against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium.

Jackson is an avid follower of the ‘Crazy in Love’ composer. So, when reporters asked him his favorite song, he quickly mentioned ‘To the Left,’ which is a lyric from Beyoncé’s famous song ‘Irreplaceable.’ However, both the Ravens and Texans will be busy dissecting their performance in the first half and stitching plans to win the game. This might restrict Jackson from watching the halftime show.

The 2x NFL MVP revealed that it doesn’t matter to him. He wants to see Beyonce live singing her best hits.

I’m going to go out there and watch. [It will be] my first time seeing Beyoncé perform, and it’s at our game… that’s dope. I’m going to go out and watch. Sorry, [Ravens head coach John] Harbaugh, sorry. Sorry, fellas.

Lamar Jackson said via Ravens reporter Sarah Ellison.

Jackson further added that, even if the Ravens trail during the break he will still sneak out to see the ‘Broken Hearted Girl’ sing.

Lamar Jackson isn’t a fan of playing on Christmas day

Jackson may be looking forward to seeing Beyonce, but if there was no game on the 25th of December, then he would have time to attend her concert with his family. The All-Pro quarterback has played on Christmas Day before, and he isn’t a fan.

I do want to celebrate at home with some time with my family. I don’t want to play on Christmas all the time… not all the time.

That’s only his personal opinion, which barely makes any difference because he has no other option but to play. The Texans are a good team who are looking to get in the playoffs just like them. As it’s a holiday, there will be more viewers than usual.

It’s a present for everyone. They get to see us play—a lot of eyes on us, and I believe a lot of people are going to be watching us at the right time.

After suffering a narrow defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 13, the Ravens collected their bearings and are currently on a two-game winning streak. John Harbaugh’s team defeated the New York Giants in week 14 and then, on the following game day, outplayed NFC North leaders the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 9-6 Texans lost their last game and suffered a massive injury bow, so it’s the right time to strike.
