In a not-so-surprising move, the Kansas City Chiefs, under the leadership of Patrick Mahomes, thrashed the Miami Dolphins 26-7. The Dolphins offense completely choked and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa failed to impress the analysts. In addition, Tyreek Hill, the wide receiver of the team who was on the run to break 2,000 yards also failed brutally. Both failures made the way for the Kansas City Chiefs who have found form of late.

After one of the coldest games in history, a heartwarming scene emerged at Arrowhead Stadium when Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback went straight up to the Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He hugged him and said some interesting words.

Mahomes told Tagovailoa:

Hell of a season.

Though it was genuine from the end of Mahomes, the netizens pointed out a sarcastic part of it. Tagovailoa had a very poor season after a good start. With each game’s passing, the player’s form dipped. In the latter part of the league, Tagovailoa was seen getting caught often. A problem that persisted in the playoffs as well. The quarterback was intercepted twice in the playoff game against the Chiefs.

The Dolphins had a so-so regular season with 11 wins and six losses. Their form was a cause of concern regarding their fate in the postseason. Analysts vouched that the team would not be able to win the game and exactly that happened.

Patrick Mahomes showed his class in the playoffs

Patrick Mahomes showed great perseverance against the Miami Dolphins. He covered 262 yards of passing with a touchdown. In addition, the QB also had a 56% passing record. He once again came back on the biggest stage.

The quarterback had a not-so-good season this year. In fact, he never made it to the discussion of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award list. Nonetheless, his performance was enough to take his team to the playoffs. In the wildcard round, Mahomes came back stronger and secured the win for the team.

It is to be seen who the Kansas City Chiefs face after in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
