Brian Flores alleges Miami Dolphins owner paid $100k per match to tank NFL matches
Brian Flores’ allegations of racial discrimination in hiring of coaches against the NFL teams has received an added boost in the sense that two more coaches has joined the bandwagon.
Steve Wilks and Ray Horton are the two coaches who have followed the same path as of Brian Flores. However, the major point of attraction in the revised complaint made by Brian Flores says that Miami Dolphins’ owner, Stephen Ross paid the coach about $100k for every loss his side faced during the 2019 season.
Brian Flores has found support in his suit against the NFL from Steve Wilks and Ray Horton
A report from reputed sports site, ESPN says, “The amended complaint also expands on allegations that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross offered Flores $100,000 per loss during the 2019 season — his first as head coach — in an attempt to “tank” to strengthen the value of the Dolphins’ draft pick.“
The newly modified suit against the NFL also says that the Tennessee Titans removed Brian Flores as a contender for the head coach post after he decided to file this suit against the franchises.
“It states that Flores sent a memorandum on Dec. 4, 2019, to general manager Chris Grier, CEO Tom Garfinkel and senior vice president of football and business administration Brandon Shore in which he “detailed the toxicity that existed within the organization and explained the unreasonable position he was being placed in by the team ownership and upper management.”
Brian Flores however has had a change in fortunes since then, and has been recently employed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as the defensive coordinator for the upcoming season after the controversy emerged.
