Justin Thomas admits feeling bad for laughing at Scottie Scheffler’s neck injury
While speaking at the press conference on Tuesday, Justin Thomas was asked about what he remembered about playing alongside Scottie Scheffler at the Players Championship. At the time, the current World No. 1 was suffering from a neck injury.
On the par-4 12th hole at TPC Sawgrass during the second round, Scheffler would scuff a tee shot leading to an audible laugh from Thomas. The 31-year-old later realized that Scheffler was playing with a neck injury and started feeling bad for his actions.
Despite the neck injury, Scheffler was able to emerge victorious. His win saw him become the first player to go back-to-back at the Players Championship.
