Jey Uso and Sami Zayn team up with Cody Rhodes (via WWE)
Sami Zayn and Jey Uso have a long history in WWE. They’ve journeyed from deep distrust to facing off in the main event of WrestleMania and now, to be close friends. The latest episode of SmackDown ended with these two superstars finally ending up on the same page, and they even teamed up with Roman Reigns’ old rival for a match after the show.
After the latest episode of SmackDown went off the air, these two superstars teamed up with Cody Rhodes for a six-man tag team match. They faced off against the team of Bron Breakker, Ludwig Kaiser, and Carmelo Hayes.
As is the case with most dark matches, the baby faces emerged on top. Towards the end of the bout, Sami Zayn landed a Helluva Kick onto Kaiser. As he fell forward, Uso quickly hit him with a superkick, and The American Nightmare caught him with a Cross Rhodes from behind. Cody Rhodes then pinned the German to pick up the victory for his team.

These three superstars have a lot of history together. They were three of the top babyfaces on Monday Night Raw throughout 2023. Furthermore, they also teamed up last year in November as part of the Men’s Survivor Series War Games match in their fight against The Judgment Day.
Vince Russo thinks Sami Zayn reuniting with Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Roman Reigns was too predictable
The latest episode of SmackDown opened with Roman Reigns in the ring alongside the Usos. Sami Zayn came out to the ring and apologized for landing a Helluva Kick on the OTC at Crown Jewel. He reminisced about the times when the four of them competed together. He was willing to get the band back together, contingent on the former WWE Universal Champion apologizing to Jey Uso. The 39-year-old couldn’t do it and told the former NXT Champion to get out of there.
Towards the end of the show, the new Bloodline got into a confrontation with the babyfaces. Zayn came out under the guise of being on Solo Sikoa‘s side. However, he hit the faction’s leader with a Helluva Kick, and the OG Bloodline stood tall in the end. It appears that Vince Russo wasn’t such a big fan of this ending.
This is exactly what the fans wanted. They gave them exactly what they wanted. The writing was on the wall, you knew it was gonna come down to this. You know, like I said, at the top of the show sometimes you gotta give the fans what they want. I just wish it wouldn’t have been as predictable as it was.

Speaking on the BroDown podcast, the former WWE writer said that the writing was on the wall, and the promotion had made it obvious that this was going to happen. He thought that sometimes, the company should reward the fans with exactly what they want. However, he only wished that it wasn’t so predictable, and WWE found a way to make it more thrilling.
