The Big 12 Championship featured Iowa State taking on Arizona State, with the latter team emerging victorious. Attending the finals on behalf of WWE were none other than Sami Zayn and Jey Uso. The former Intercontinental Champions were spotted inside the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Reacting to this, Drew McIntyre brutally trolled his two rivals.
Taking to X, McIntyre hilariously labeled Zayn and Uso as “Make-A-Wish” kids attending the Big 12 Championship. The two-time WWE Champion sarcastically stated that sources told him the players considered the Bloodline duo as “Make-A-Wish” kids. Meanwhile, Uso and Zayn enjoyed their time at the finals, as they presented a custom Big 12 Championship belt to the winners, Arizona State.
For over a year, McIntyre has had issues with both Zayn and Uso, especially with the latter. When the 9-time Tag Team Champion jumped ship to Raw, McIntyre raised concerns about his past. The 39-year-old star had feuded with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline prior to Uso turning on his cousins. As such, this led to McIntyre turning heel and kickstarting the best run of his career so far.
Reliable sources told me the players were saying “ain’t he little old to be a Make-A-Wish kid?”

During this time, he faced and defeated both Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. Although McIntyre diverted his attention to CM Punk thereafter, it seems that he is back to seek vengeance on the pair. On the latest episode of Raw, the Ayr-born wrestler made his shocking return in the closing moments of the show. Moreover, McIntyre laid Zayn out with a Claymore, signifying that their rivalry was far from over.
Drew McIntyre reportedly returned early due to Survivor Series: WarGames injury
At Bad Blood, the highly personal rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk finally concluded. The Second City Saint defeated McIntyre in one of the most brutal Hell in a Cell matches in history. Following the loss, McIntyre took a well-deserved break from WWE, flying home to Europe to be with his family.
A few weeks back, PWInsider reported that WWE began coming up with creative pitches for The Scottish Warrior’s return. While he returned a few days later, rumors suggested that he wasn’t supposed to be back this early.
As per Fightful, WWE pulled the trigger early due to Bronson Reed‘s injury at Survivor Series: WarGames. Reed will be out of action indefinitely. However, this left a gap in the main event scene on Raw. Hence, this prompted WWE to bring back McIntyre and fill the void on the red brand.
