Six-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker has a long relationship with Novak Djokovic. He was the Serbian’s coach for three years, leading him to several tournament triumphs. Becker has said that he would love to face his former pupil in the final of his dream Wimbledon Championship match.

Becker became famous after claiming his maiden Grand Slam at the 1986 Wimbledon. The former World No. 1 was only 17 at the time and remains the youngest player ever to win the prestigious tournament. He went on to win Wimbledon in 1986 and 1989, the Australian Open twice, and the US Open once.

In the three years of their collaboration, Djokovic took his game to a higher level with Becker as his coach. He won six of his 24 Grand Slams and 14 of his 40 ATP Masters 1000 titles during that phase.

He recently finished as runners-up at the Shanghai Masters after losing to Jannik Sinner in the final. Despite the loss, the Serbian climbed to sixth in the ATP Live Race to Turin. He is behind Taylor Fritz, who is looking to push for qualification. Djokovic currently sits with 3,910 points, just a 600-point deficit to the qualification mark.

His nearest competitor, Casper Ruud is 55 points behind. Meanwhile, Andrey Rublev seats at the eighth position in the table, with just 190 points away from Djokovic. Alex de Minaur is also in contention for a place after reaching the semifinals of the Vienna Open.

Djokovic, who is the Paris Masters defending champion, will receive a 1000 points deduction. However, if any of the players in contention exit the Paris tournament in the second round, the Serbian will automatically qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin.
