Stephen Curry put on a show at the Paris Olympics, both in the semifinals as well as the gold medal match. Even though his score was higher in the semifinal, it was the manner in which he scored against France that caught the attention of the world.
His efforts ensured Team USA took home the gold medal even though France tried to catch up. With the world still rejoicing his bombs, another player who is known for bombs, Caitlin Clark, had a special nickname for him.
The WNBA rookie superstar took to her official Instagram account and reposted a story depicting Stephen Curry with his famous ‘night night’ celebration. She wrote a caption along with that photo that read;

It seems this was the perfect two words to describe the wild shooting spree Curry unleashed in the gold medal match. After all, it looked like every shot Stephen Curry took would go in, a far cry from the confidence less attempts he put up in the first four games of the Olympics.
At that time, he was not sure how he could get his shots to fall in the same manner as it has done for more than a decade and a half in the NBA.
But it seems he figured it out. Team USA did adjust their screens and play sets to help unleash a player widely known as the greatest shooter in basketball history. Now his 8 of 12 shots from three certainly impressed Caitlin Clark, who is also known as one of the best shooters in women’s college basketball.
Paige Bueckers in awe of Stephen Curry
Another college basketball superstar, Paige Bueckers, was among those who heaped praise on the 4-time NBA Champion. When she saw Curry drill that clutch three with two defenders with their hands up in his face, she tweeted this from her official X account:
