The NCAA Women’s basketball will grow and develop some amazing young players, that will certainly play for the WNBA in the future. Some of the rising stars from women’s college basketball truly seem like they will be the stars of the WNBA and will change the course of the league.

One of them is USC’s guard JuJu Watkins. She has scored 30+ points in five of her last six games. Watkins is breaking multiple records this year. Recently she had a 51-point double-double performance in the 67-58 win against Stanford.

But on Sunday, Watkins had a unique performance against the Utah Utes. Despite the loss, Watkins scored 30 points and took 30 shots. She also had 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Her taking 30 shots reminded fans of Kobe Bryant.

Recently, Watkins broke the record for most 30-point games in a season in USC history. With her 11th 30-point game in her career, Watkins passed Cheryl Miller with a 42-point performance. The USC won the game against the Colorado Buffaloes.

The Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant was one of the most dominant players of his time. The player won five championships in his career and was known for his Mamba mentality. Kobe was also known as a selfish player, as he rarely passed the ball to his teammates.

JuJu Watkins on Sunday took 30 shots and scored 30 points in the game. She had 10-30 FG which was 33.3%. Comparatively, the score is low for the field goals attempted. Bryant also has taken 30 or more shots during the games. NBA fans were reminded of Bryant after watching Watkin’s performance.

Watkins is currently the front-runner for the Freshman of the Year award. She is averaging 28.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists. The USC Trojans have a record of 21-6 this season.
