Joe Mazzulla labeled Kristaps Porzingis’ injury as ‘serious’

While talking to the media, Porzingis stated that he would do ‘everything he can’ to play in Game 3. The only question that remained was about the medical staff’s permission. The team’s head coach, Joe Mazzulla mimicked Porzingis’ answer while talking about his availability.

The HC revealed he has ‘no idea’ about the chances of Porzingis playing. Mazzulla and the team are leaving the decision to the medical staff as the injury is ‘serious’ according to the HC.

It’s a serious injury. At the end of the day, our team and the medical team is not going to put him in any bad situations. We’ve taken the decision to play out of his hands because of the importance of him. He’s going to do everything he can to play, and we’re going to leave it up to our medical team.
