The season isn’t going too well for the San Francisco 49ers and their upcoming game against their formidable rivals, the Buffalo Bills is certainly not going to be easy. It appears the weather has also left their side as snow, frigid temperatures, and gusty winds are expected to blanket western New York due to a potent winter storm.
A Lake Effect Snow Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Orchard Park region, anticipating “hazardous weather conditions” during the timeframe from November 29, Friday to December 2, Monday. Given that the Highmark stadium is located in Orchard Park, the Week 13 matchup between the Bills and 49ers is expected to face extreme weather conditions.
Additionally, the snow could be expected “heavy at times,” which may impact both the Week 13 game as well as travel.

The Bills’ home stadium will be covered in snow and the Sunday NFL match will go through snow accumulation and precipitation. Although the latest forecast predicts the snow to drift south of Orchard Park, winds will blow from the west at a rate of 10 to 14 mph with a high temperature of about 31°F.
Brock Purdy set to return for 49ers as severe weather threatens Sunday match against Bills
While the weather may leave the Niners’ side, they are poised to have their starting quarterback Brock Purdy back on Sunday. After missing last week’s game due to a shoulder injury, the 49ers are expected to have him on the active roster ahead of the thrilling match against the Bills. He returned to practice on Monday in limited form and continued to increase gradually throughout the week.
“We’ll see how it feels on Wednesday. Hopefully, it responds better this week than it did last week with the rest,” said head coach Kyle Shanahan about Purdy’s odds of returning to the field.

However, the severe weather conditions have compelled discussions about postponing the game or relocating it, since NWS claimed traveling to be “very difficult to impossible.” But until anything is confirmed, both the teams are preparing while keeping the extreme cold and snowy weather conditions in mind.
