FOX Sports' Keyshawn Johnson wasn't happy with the way De'Vondre Campbell acted by turning his back during a crucial game for the 49ers.

Keyshawn Johnson, like the rest of the football world, was in shock to see De’Vondre Campbell leave the San Francisco 49ers hanging in the middle of the game. Despite that, the Niners allowed him back in the facility the next day.
A perplexed Johnson wanted to know the reason behind such a development. He thought the 49ers would cut the veteran linebacker on the same day for turning his back on the team.

As per NBC’s Nick Wagoner, the 49ers already made up their mind to cut Campbell, but they still had an obligation to sort out the contractual side of things. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, right after the game at Levi’s Stadium, revealed he didn’t expect the 31-year-old pass rusher to be part of the roster any longer after the stunt he pulled.
In case this wasn't clear enough, Shanahan says he does not expect Campbell to be on the team in Week 16 and beyond. https://t.co/7OPehHnweK

Shanahan further revealed that Campbell has remained awol ever since he left the field.
Why did De’Vondre Campbell refuse to play for the 49ers?
The 49ers linebacker Dee Winters hurt his neck and needed to be subbed off, so Shanahan told De’Vondre Campbell to warm up. However, the former Packers and Cardinals man refused his head coach and then was seen walking off the field right before the fourth quarter.
Initially, the reason behind the sudden development perplexed the entire 49ers bench and staff, but eventually, they realized the cause. The return of Dre Greenlaw set alarm bells ringing for Campbell because the former fourth-rounder was among the trio of defensive ends (Nick Bosa and Fred Warner) who dominated every team last season.
Greenlaw injured himself during Super Bowl LVIII and was placed on injured reserve in the off-season. The 49ers brought Campbell in for a one-year deal as Greenlaw’s backup. He played 12 games for the Niners this year, but once the Niners put Greenlaw back in the starting roster, Campbell decided to walk away.
The 49ers ended up losing 12-6 against the Los Angeles Rams. The loss dismissed any hope of playing postseason football as they are now 6-8 after 14 games.
