With a remarkable 11-1 season record, the Detroit Lions are approaching the playoffs as the Super Bowl favorites. However, it seems that the secret to their success was inadvertently revealed on the internet due to a mistake by Jamhyr Gibbs on TikTok. But when head coach Dan Campbell was asked about it, he hardly seemed concerned.
Gibbs recently went viral on the internet for a TikTok video he shared of his teammate Jermar Jefferson, as Detroit’s protection calls were evidently displayed behind him on the board–making fans concerned about the Lions. Head coach Campbell was made aware of the video when he addressed the media on Saturday.
On Monday, the first question asked from him was about Gibbs’ blunder on social media. Instead of getting angry with his player, the Lions’ head coach revealed joking to him about it and teasing him.

After their NFC Championship Game appearance last season, the Lions entered the 2024 season even stronger, suffering only one loss. They ended the Kansas City Chiefs’ nine-game winning streak, knocking them off the top spot as Super Bowl favorites.

The Lions’ head coach assured fans that the team regularly revises and alters their plays each week, emphasizing that this supposed “secret” reveal will not harm the team, but rather serve to intimidate their opponents.
Aiming straight for the Vince Lombardi Trophy, Campbell is not letting anything distract him or his side. This approach of his has landed him as the betting favorite to win the league’s Coach of the Year award with +120 odds, according to DraftKings.
