In the last few days, Amon-Ra St. Brown has made some striking headlines in the mags and papers with his feud with Dallas Cowboys’ Jourdan Lewis. To sum it up, St. Brown is an active volcano for media and Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens has tapped into the drama.
Amon-Ra St Brown has been tangled in a beef with Lewis over the past week since the former leaked a private chat between the duo. Lewis used some damning vulgarities in the chat post-Cowboys-Lions match heat. A week ago, Lewis made news with vicious digs aimed at Pickens. Looks like a little beef triangle is being made now with Pickens attacking St. Brown.
Appearing on FS1’s The Facility, Pickens dropped some big shade on the Detroit Lions wide receiver. George Pickens commented on how offensive schemes can impact a receiver’s stats. He called out Amon-Ra St. Brown and other ‘slot merchants’.
George Pickens was supposedly responding about where he ranks among the NFL’s best wide receivers on The Facility. In somewhat an expected Pickens fashion, he confidently declared he’s “definitely” in the top five—“if not better” right before the name-calling.

Slot receivers result in higher numbers. The technique is often used in quick, short-yardage situations, making them key targets in high-percentage passing plays. Pickens casually sneaked in an indirect compliment to his play with the shade. Nevertheless, it is never a fair comparison for Pickens and St. Brown, considering both belong to two different playing techniques.
George Pickens comments on his portrayal in the media
In his two years, Pickens hasn’t shied away from the rumors and controversies. He has shown excellent physical prowess making him one of the best assets in the team. However, the fans have criticized his attitude for far too long.
In 2023, he landed in huge trouble after refusing to block for teammate Jaylen Warren. There have been clips circulating that show him not always giving full effort, and sulking when teammates score. These moments as well as talks of Pickens occasionally prioritizing his glory have sparked accusations of selfishness. Pickens addressed the same on the Facility podcast.
Pickens seems to be a fierce guy who just wants to win and move ahead to potentially win the title. However, certain displays have questioned genuine nature and personality.
