Thursday Night Football in Week 14 will see the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers battle with the NFC North still up for grabs. When Jared Goff and Jordan Love go into battle, another battle will ensue as Amon-Ra St. Brown will face the best cornerback in the NFL in Xavier McKinney.

The Packers star though is tied with the Lions own Kerby Joseph. However, it does not take away from the fact that McKinney is better as a lockdown corner and thus, will be the one to slow the trash-talking Lions leading wide receiver down.

The Detroit Lions offense is an amalgamation of the likes of St. Brown, the two-headed rushing attack as well as the rest of the receivers. All while receiving passes from Jared Goff, who stands behind arguably the best offensive line in football.

But that does not mean that the Green Bay Packers do not fancy an upset. They may not have the stars to battle pound-for-pound with the Lions. But one star, Xavier McKinney, will not hesitate to take the battle head on. That is what the cornerback echoed when speaking with reporters on Tuesday.

I ain’t worried about him. We not worried about him.

The current NFL leader in interceptions knows that Amon-Ra St. Brown is a problem for any team he has faced. His eight-game touchdown streak may be over, but he still poses a threat to the Packers chances. However, McKinney and his teammates may have to prepare for more than just the star receiver.

Amon-Ra St. Brown and his Lions are too formidable for Packers

The Green Bay Packers are currently locked in a Wild Card spot. But they could lose it if they lose against the Detroit Lions. Subsequent wins for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Commanders could slide the Packers out of the Wild Card spots.

They still have a chance in the remaining four games on their schedule. However, a team of this caliber might not want to take their chances. If they could beat the NFC leaders and arguably the best team in the NFL, they could further cement their hopes of heading back to the playoffs.

However, the Detroit Lions are as formidable as they come. Featuring one of the most diverse and explosive offenses in the league and backed by a stud defense, they are hard to beat. Even their special teams are special enough to make opposing head coaches sweat in winter.

Amon-Ra St. Brown might be the biggest star on the Lions, but they have multiple options to score. Xavier McKinney and his teammates will have a tough task trying to win this Thursday Night Football matchup at the Lions home.
