If there were intangibles that the Carolina Panthers considered before drafting their players, then Xavier Legette would still have been their top priority on their radar. The rookie wide receiver has a household tradition that will be dubbed as odd in most American households.
On the recent episode of the St. Brown Brothers Podcast, Xavier Legette revealed to Amon-Ra and Equainemous St. Brown that his family has a tradition of cooking raccoons on Thanksgiving.
His response caught the St. Brown brothers off-guard. After all, that was truly something weird to eat.

However, for Xavier Legette, this was nothing new.
The wide receiver broke down his entire family’s process of catching and cooking a raccoon. This sounded absurd to the St. Brown brothers who had heard nothing like this before.
Amon-Ra St. Brown was fascinated by Xavier Legette’s response
The facial expressions of the brothers were hilarious when they realized what Legette’s response was. Equanimeous had to clarify that he had heard the Carolina Panthers wideout right. “You what? What do you mean, raccoon?” The Saints’ wideout asked in utter shock.
After the Panthers star was done describing how to prepare raccoon, Amon-Ra St. Brown began to laugh at the idea of how crazy this proposition sounded. “That sounds crazy,” he said while still in shock. To give the brothers a better idea of what a raccoon tastes like, Legette described it as being similar to chicken.
Those South Carolina residents are built differently.
Xavier Legette was born and brought up in Mullins, South Carolina. He attended Mullins High School before taking his talents to the collegiate level at the University of South Carolina. He got the best-case scenario as he now plays for his home team.
