The battle for the NFC North is well and truly on between the 12-1 Detroit Lions and the 11-2 Minnesota Vikings. There’s still time for the decider, but the tension is at its peak between the two teams.
The Lions have the opportunity to make it back-to-back titles while the Vikings are on the verge of clinching it for the first time since 2017. To make it more interesting, the fight for the title is a three-horse race, with the Green Bay Packers breathing on the necks of the Lions and Vikings.
In the meantime, Lions’ wide receiver Amon Ra St. Brown shared a bold statement that is sure to turn a few heads. Not many may be aware that the 25-year-old has a podcast with his less famous brother, Equanimeous. During a recent segment of the show, Equanimeous asked Amon-Ra which team he would prefer to play in the playoffs between the Vikings and the Packers.

So basically, St. Brown tried to imply that the Vikings would be an easier team to beat in the postseason compared to the Packers. As the former fourth-round pick mentioned, the Lions played the Vikings earlier in the season in week 7.
On that occasion, Dan Campbell’s Lions scraped out a 31-29 victory against Sam Darnold and co. St. Brown that day had 8 receptions for 112 yards and 1 receiving touchdown.
Amon-Ra St. Brown’s record against the Vikings and the Packers
St. Brown undoubtedly checked his stat sheet before picking between the Vikings and the Packers. Since entering the league back in 2021, he has played a combined 15 games against the Lions’ divisional rivals.
Including the win back in October, he played the Vikings on seven occasions and posted 56 catches for 654 yards and 4 touchdowns. As for the Packers, he played the team from Wisconsin eight times and caught 47 passes for 481 yards and 3 touchdowns. These numbers clearly show he fared better against Kevin O’Connell’s Vikings compared to Matt LaFleur’s Packers.
There’s still a chance of improving on those numbers on the final day of the regular season. The Lions will host the Vikings at Ford Field, which could decide the kings of the NFC North.
