The Detroit Lions are 12-2 but they have lost several players due to injury but as per Dan Orlovsky, losing star RB David Montgomery may affect the offense most.

Injuries have hit the Detroit Lions hard, but losing David Montgomery may prove to be the toughest for the NFC North leaders. The star running back is among the top scrimmage makers this year.
Montgomery was part of the Lions team that lost 48-42 against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. A guy who averaged 15 carries a game this year only managed six against the Bills. The Lions switched to passing play to counter the Bills’ running defense, so it may have contributed to low carries.
However, the story is different. Montgomery picked up an injury somewhere along the day, leaving Jahmyr Gibbs with the running back duty. After the game, the Lions’ revealed that the 27-year-old Montgomery suffered an MCL injury.
ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky claimed it’s a massive blow for the Lions.
The former Lions QB knows that Detroit still has players like WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and TE Sam LaPorta, but Montgomery brought the trademark Lions energy into the game.
